The Lord of the Rings Symphony was,
nothing short of breathtaking.
it's been nearly six years since i first fell in love with this amazing trilogy.
the films, the books, the music, the art.the memories.and this love was rekindled last night,
as so many familiar tunes were being played.
i lost count of the no. of times goosebumps crept over my body.
esp. during those trumpet features,
and the powerful LYRICAL CHOIR!
it really brought a whole new dimension to orchestral music.
(even though i didn't understand what they were singing - Tolkien languages)
I LOVE RIDERS OF ROHAN. my favourite!
my heart was bubbling with excitement when we neared that part.
too bad it was too short,
and the concertmaster kinda played the solo too softly for my taste.
evenstar was a little disappointing as well.
the soprano was kinda soft too.
why like that ah?
nvm shall blame our lousy seats. =(
other than that, the music really rocked the house. and my heart.
i loved the shire-whatever-it's-called music!
the strings were good. (:
i could vividly picture those green fields and small hill-like bumps that contain the hobbits' homes. and hobbits scurrying about with their daily hustle-bustle (smoking pipeweeds). and merry and pippin up to some kind of mischief again.
haha so cute!
gosh i love LOTR
so much.
it holds
so much memories for me.
i still remember the whole "manly-aragorn vs prettyboy-legolas" saga with my sec2 classmates.
all those inside jokes.
making fun of aragorn's sewage hair.
making fun of the elrond-lookalike shum HAHA.
forcing meisan to be the only gimli-fan (since she was the neutral party).
reading those funny captions & watching retarded spoofs.
watching TTT at home over and over again.
and watching it again in class with 2/1ers after our end-years!
that legolas-skateboard part at helm's deep. (:
counting down to the opening of ROTK.
getting SUPER EXCITED when it was finally on screen.
happily watching it in the cinemas with 2/1ers.
up till now i still like faramir alotalotalot!
his character's so sad and melancholic,
but yet so loyal, just and good.
and he's so cute! *faints*
okay i sound like a crazy fangirl again MWAHA.
wrote this in sec2.
aww man so nostalgic. (:
10 Things that I hope will be in the ROTK movie1. Aragorn embarassing Eowyn at Edoras (good for her) 2. The Paths of the Dead (with nice ghostly effects) 3. Offering of services by both Merry and Pippin (so cute!) 4. Everything Faramir (including the romance with Eowyn! :D) 5. Merry and Eowyn smiting the Lord of Nazgul (super exciting) 6. Houses of Healing (a MUST coz Aragorn will heal the wounded, so cool!) 7. The Mouth of Sauron person/creature/whatever (coz he's so funny) 8. Sam as the temporary Ring-bearer (I'll rather have Sam to bear the ring) 9. Gollum biting off Frodo's finger at Mt Doom (bloody) 10. Many Partings (with Aragorn made King and Faramir made Steward of coz) 10 Things I hope NOT to be in the ROTK movie1. Frodo naked in Cirith Ungol (I'll see how PJ's gonna do that)LOTR ROCKS!!!
i'm so tempted to watch the entire trilogy again.
there she goes
