FRIDAY

band dinner's finally over! it was quite a success. so all our hard work paid off yeah. hmmm. must really thank alison and team for such beautiful doorgifts - the photo and cactus! the performance comm put up great shows too. lastly, the props/deco team! everyone played a part and i really applaud them for it. well i guess all the stress was worth it right. it was kinda sad that most of our props/deco were taken down and thrown away after that, but at least there were photos to remember them.

must specially thank fungyin, shioks, jiahao and vincent for helping out on the day itself while the others were busy with their stuff. esp fungie! who came up with that cd hanging idea. THANKS LOADS.

hmmm. MOVE SWAY GROOVE was quite cool. it was a pity time passed so quickly and soon it was the end of the whole event. they even had to chase us out! everything seemed too fast-paced for a slow tortoise like me. anyway, our whole section went! yeah man. and we FINALLY took a complete section photo. it was so sad they didn't put the 2 drama-mama videos ansley and i took for our section seniors! HMPH. and all the photos we sent. damn sad please.

haha and everyone looked so different in their retro/non-retro outfits. all those good-looking people ah. quoting vincent, "everyone's transforming." haha.

what else to say? maybe i'll post some photos soon and let them speak for themselves. WE'LL MISS YOU SENIORS! yeah. words from our video.

oh yeah i've been wanting to say this. i was super emo last tues and i must really really thank a few people for making me feel better that day.

thanks elissa for the prayer! prayers really work wonders.
thanks ansley for the shoulder.
thanks zakiah for listening out to me.
thanks alison for the lollipop.
thanks poon for... hmmm. i dunno also. taking the bus with me? "you look odd today." yeah. and thanks for noticing.

SATURDAY

what impacted me the most, really, was the sharings after the theme talk. seriously ah, if the sharings didn't take place, i wouldn't have known our plights have so much in common. like i wouldn't have known elena's facing the same dilemma as i am now. most importantly, i guess we wouldn't have been encouraged by one another.

i was particularly impacted by uncle sebastian's sharing. he said he used to fail art terribly, like F9. the school even wanted to kick him out of the art programme so that the passing percentage would be higher. but look at him now! he now owns an advertising company with auntie sharon and he's very much in touch with design and the creative industry.

so it all comes back to how unpredictable life and God's plan for us can be. i may love art right now and may consider it to be my future career but that may not really happen! lydia's doing early childhood now but she may not be a teacher in the future! what we are all doing now is simply a small portion of God's enormous jigsaw puzzle for us. sometimes we are so caught up in our present desires and strengths that we often forget that God ultimately has the power to change our lives.

as the song goes, "i live my life to the Potter's hand"! so i guess now i'm gonna allow Him to shape my path and i'll gladly follow His will even though he works in ways we cannot see. WE SHALL WALK IN FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT. (((=
